YIPPEE.....THE PUPPIES ARE WEANED!!! That means no more bottle feeding four times and three times and two times a day, especially in the wee hours. Of course, now that Garbo has found out she is invited in to clean up the mush bowl, she's delighted to pay attention to the whelping box. Up until that occurred to her, she was only interested in finding a place to hide when I was looking for her to feed these ten tykes. But now we have graduated to the next stage, and all appears to be in good form, including what's coming out the back....that's the important thing at this stage, believe it or not.
Also progress on the east deck. Joseph has finally put the finishing touches on it and I'm pleased. Now the west deck and the front porch and we're almost finished with the initial list.
Had a wonderful conversation with my very best friend of all time today, having known and loved her since we were young and chipper and didn't know what the world was about. How wonderful to have a friend to share all these years with. When we speak, even if it's been a long time, it's as if no time has occurred. Everyone should have someone like that to go thru life with. I'm lucky!
Georgia came in from playing tonight and apparently she has become a mud puppy. Half of what was on her is now on the bed. This morning before I left for the doc appt about the ringing in my ears, she disappeared. I heard the driveway monitor ding three times, looked for a truck or somebody, and no one appeared. Then no Georgia....all I could think of was how I was going to explain to Joyce in Canada how my brindle bundle had driven off with a stranger. Just when I was getting in the car to go searching (and be late to the doc) here came Georgia flying and sputtering. Have no idea where she thought she was allowed to go, but it's NOT down the driveway. Methinks Garbo showed her the way and she decided she could do it all by herself. NOPE....
Anyway, back to my Tess Gerritson mystery and fall asleep. Eight days to Utah! MsP
